Nature Research highlights GeoZentrum Research in Uganda Scott Jess und Team in Kollaboration mit der StrucTec Gruppe in Earth and Planetary Science Letters finden heraus, dass der westliche Ast des Ostafrikanischen Riftsystem wahrscheinlich so alt wie der östliche Arm ist. Somit scheint sich das gesamte Riftsystem auf ein mal entwickelt zu haben!
